When I started having double vision
caused by MG, I went to 3 different specialists to see what
could be done about my vision. I tried wearing glasses with
prisms in them, but different times of the day my eyes would
get worse and the glasses just didn't work for me. After going to a
strabismus specialist, I was told I just needed to wear
an eye patch. My wife and I searched and found some patches, but they were
unattractive and uncomfortable. I also found that a shiny black eye patch was
a bit scary to children and even some adults. Unable to find a suitable replacement for the
black patch, My wife decided to make a few different eye patches using FUN
materials and patterns. |
Gwen's eye patches better suited my life style and needs.
After she started making my
patches where ever I went people would comment on how my patches
were so unique and attractive. So my wife decided to make them available for people wanting to wear an
eye patch that is different from the average patches available in the
stores and Internet.
I hope Gwen's
eye patches
will encourage you to hang in there through your eye-patching journey.
Remember that compliance is the most important factor in the successful
treatment of an eye condition. Keeping the patch on, helps to develop
the needed pathways of vision between the uncovered eye and the brain. I
hope that her eye patches will enable you to remain compliant in your
treatment!
God bless you,
Billy

**Sizes are approximate.
For the best position the band should be worn
approximately 1/4” to one 3/4" above your
opposing eyebrow and arch gently over the brow.
The portion of the band on the side of the
patched eye should be worn slightly above your
